Rimini, 31st May 2026 – RiminiWellness 2026 came to a close today at Rimini Expo Centre and on the Riviera with an edition that has written a new chapter in the history of the IEG event. Overall attendance rose by 15% whilst international participation increased by 25% with attendees from 140 countries (the most unusual origins included Guernsey, a British Channel island, and the Virgin Islands), confirming IEG’s development trajectory and the growing role of RiminiWellness as a global benchmark for fitness, sport, wellbeing and healthy eating. On its 20th anniversary, the event broadened its appeal and consolidated the dialogue between business, innovation, education and public engagement. It was the fullest and largest edition ever.
A 20TH EDITION AMID BUSINESS, COMMUNITY AND INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING
Spanning 30 halls and more than 190,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor space, RiminiWellness 2026 hosted over 400 exhibiting brands and a vast community of professionals, buyers and enthusiasts from all over the world. 670 accredited journalists were in attendance. A success built on the event’s ability to serve as a shining example of business and consumer integration. The coexistence of companies, public, innovation and the market alongside global leaders in the production of training equipment, machinery and technologies, professional content and hands-on experience, is precisely what generates an ecosystem that produces value for every stakeholder involved. An edition that looked to the future by also featuring 30 industry start-ups. A model that is now increasingly attracting brands from other sectors that see this trade show as a strategic opportunity for reaching new targets and building relations with a wider, more connected and qualified community.
EVER MORE ACTIVE, INCREASINGLY YOUNGER
For four days, RiminiWellness offered 2,000 hours of training sessions and 12 constantly active stages. The Active area showcased innovative fitness disciplines and new developments in established activities, confirming the event as a privileged observatory for trends that will shape the sector in the years to come. An important sign was the growth in the number of under-30s in attendance, an informed and aware audience for whom RiminiWellness has become a key destination – with a considerable social and lifestyle dimension – for exploring health, exercise and quality of life.
RIMINI, CAPITAL OF THE GLOBAL WELLNESS AGENDA
120 buyers from 36 countries were hosted through collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, which oversaw the selection and incoming of industry professionals and leaders from the USA – the main fitness and wellness market – as well as from the Gulf, Central Asia and North Africa. These prominent attendees were joined by 150 stakeholders, opinion leaders and experts from the world’s leading sector organisations. RiminiWellness is now the place where the global dynamics of the wellness industry come together, exchange ideas and find direction, offering inspiration and a sense of community to the business. The major international events of the 2026 edition included the World Active Summit, which saw industry leaders from every continent gather to discuss strategic issues aimed at making physical activity a priority on the global public health agenda; the Global Fitness Leaders Meeting, featuring a discussion between representatives from over 20 countries on education and international standards; the TEHA – The European House Ambrosetti’s Sport Value Observatory, which provided a structured analysis of the economic and social value of Italian sport between digital transformation, tourism and new engagement models.
FROM THE EXPO CENTRE TO THE RIVIERA: RIMINIWELLNESSOFF
The energy of RiminiWellness spread beyond the Expo Centre grounds to the entire Riviera. The 4th edition of RiminiWellnessOFF, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini, saw the global community of enthusiasts and sports lovers involved in 200 events in the Sea Park, on the beach, in the city’s historical centre and around the hinterland. A collective experience of inclusion, movement and wellbeing that confirmed Rimini’s reputation as a vibrant, open and healthy city and strengthened the bond between the show and the local area, highlighting the destination’s position as an international hub for wellness and active lifestyles.
The next appointment with RiminiWellness will be from 27th to 30th May 2027. After the 20th anniversary edition, the future of wellness will continue to start from Rimini.

RIMINIWELLNESS 2026: WELLNESS TOURISM IS DRIVING THE NEW WELLNESS ECONOMY
· Italy among the world’s top 10 wellness economies with a market worth 140.6 billion dollars
· At this edition, focus on tourism as it evolves from an escape experience to a tool for active regeneration
· Wellness tourism, sport tourism, slow tourism and bleisure formulas are becoming new models of Italian hospitality
Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 - Italy is now among the world’s top ten wellness economies ranking 10th globally and 4th in Europe. A market, according to the Global Wellness Institute, worth 140.6 billion dollars that highlights the strength of the country’s wellness, spa, sports and hospitality tourism supply chains. In this context, RiminiWellness 2026, Italian Exhibition Group’s event, back for its twentieth edition from 28th to 31st May at Rimini Expo Centre and on the Riviera, confirms its status as a privileged observatory on the transformations that are redefining contemporary tourism as it increasingly looks to health, longevity, outdoor experiences and quality of life.
WELLNESS TOURISM ECONOMY: FROM TRAVEL TO REGENERATIVE EXPERIENCE
At RiminiWellness, wellness tourism is increasingly portrayed as an integrated ecosystem that combines health, territory, longevity and quality of life. Travel is becoming a tool for physical and mental regeneration, oriented towards healthspan, prevention and psychophysical rebalancing. According to Grand View Research, the global wellness tourism market will exceed 2.1 trillion dollars by 2035 with an average annual growth of 8.2%, and Italy is one of the most important markets. According to the “Global Wellness Economy: Italy” report, published by the Global Wellness Institute in 2026, the wellness tourism, spa and hot spring sector was worth around 27 billion dollars in 2024, while the wellness tourism segment alone stood at 19.99 billion dollars. Furthermore, as reported by the TEHA Group’s Sport Value 2025 Observatory (The European House - Ambrosetti), Eurostat data highlight how sports and outdoor tourism were responsible for 8% of tourist arrivals in Italy and was the fourth reason for visits. Attendance linked to sport accounted for 14% of the total. The phenomenon was more concentrated in the North (21.6% of arrivals) compared to the Centre (13.8%) and the South (6.7%).
SLOW TOURISM, CYCLE TOURISM AND NEW TERRITORIAL MODELS
The data and analyses presented at the show by CNA Emilia-Romagna will regard this scenario, highlighting how Slow Tourism, cycle tourism and territorial experiences contribute to establishing new local economic models. Speakers will include Roberta Frisoni, regional councillor for Tourism, Laura Sillato, president of CNA Tourism and Trade Emilia-Romagna, Nicola Cesari, mayor of Sorbolo Mezzani, Susanna Maggioni, vice president of FIAB Italy, and Christian Bertoni, vice president of APS Senio and Gesso. The debate will focus on experiences such as the Food Valley Bike and daily hospitality models that combine gentle mobility, local culture, wellness and sustainability. New forms of slow and outdoor tourism that enhance the landscape and the quality of the experience, thus contributing to the growth of local economies and secondary destinations, will also be discussed. The programme, organised by Paola Rizzitelli, expert in systemic well-being, will open with the talk “Living in health is brilliant!” and will continue with the panel discussion entitled “The future scenarios of Wellness Tourism”. Participating in the debate will be: Annalisa Giannini from IEG, Raffaella Disipio from Italcares Confindustria Federterme, longevity medicine doctor Vincenzo Primitivo, Simona Tedesco from DOVE, Elena Andreolli from Terme di Comano, Giacomo Bullo rom ALMA and Carlo Goretti from Acqua e Terme di Fiuggi. A discussion on wellness hospitality’s new perspectives between health, longevity, spas and experiential tourism.
BLEISURE, FOREST BATHING AND NEW EXPERIENTIAL TOURISM FORMATS
Wellness tourism transformation also involves the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) sector, which is increasingly oriented towards bleisure (business & leisure) formulas that transform conferences and professional events into opportunities for wellness, networking and local discovery. Besides business travel, new models of regenerative tourism are also growing, based on immersive health, sport, outdoors and quality of life experiences. Emerging trends such as forest bathing and integrated sports resorts that combine performance, relaxation and wellbeing, are part of this scenario. A further focus will be on the international experience of Playitas Resort in Fuerteventura, an active wellness tourism model that integrates Hyrox and Triathlon, an Olympic swimming pool, outdoor programmes and activities for families and athletes in an ecosystem that aims at physical and mental regeneration.

Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 – At RiminiWellness 2026, organised by Italian Exhibition Group from 28th to 31st May, the food panorama is evolving from a simple nutritional choice to a strategic lever for performance, wellness and longevity. This edition of Foodwell, the functional nutrition and healthy food area, will therefore be even more packed with content in response to nutrition’s increasingly central role in the contemporary wellness ecosystem. Designed as an area where training, business, entertainment and community can meet, it outlines the evolution of the relationship between food, health and movement through show cooking, tastings, talks, live experiences and participatory activities involving the public, professionals, creators and the sector’s top brands.
FROM CUISINE TO PERFORMANCE: THE ALMA PROJECT
One of the key players at the 2026 edition will be ALMA - The International School of Italian Cuisine, which will be presenting Culinary Wellness Solutions, a new division dedicated to integrating haute cuisine, sport and healthy aging. The project was created to explore the role of cooking as a concrete tool for wellness and quality of life enhancement by bringing together skills from different worlds: from sports nutrition to athletic training, catering and health coaching. Leading the discussion will be Nina Gigante, journalist and integrative health coach, wellness chef Filippo Tawil, Costanza Gavioli, Head of Nutrition at Parma Calcio, Andrea Galvani from Technogym's technical-scientific department and nutritionist, Francesca Giopp. A path that interprets food as an increasingly central element in new models of wellness, hospitality and lifestyle, where functional nutrition, prevention and longevity become an integral part of the contemporary wellness experience.
FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION, HIGH PROTEIN AND NEW CONSUMPTION
Foodwell reports on a rapidly changing market, where protein, functional food and wellness products are redefining consumption habits and business models. High protein products, functional formulations and proposals related to healthy aging, with ever greater attention to performance, recovery and metabolic well-being, are, in fact, a growing presence in this area. This scientific approach will also be explored in depth in the talk by Ambassador Laura Crugnola on the ten pillars of Healthy Aging with a focus on the relationship between conscious nutrition, physical strength and metabolic health. According to the main international research companies, the global functional food market will reach 672 billion dollars by 2034 (Precedence Research), while the food supplements sector will exceed 431 billion dollars by 2033 (Grand View Research). The protein and functional drinks and plant-based ingredients segments are also growing, confirming the central importance of wellness nutrition in new global consumption dynamics.
THE BIG BRANDS AND KEY FOOD COMMUNITIES
Alongside training, the main players in the food & wellness sector will also be more greatly represented. Strapasta Active by Pasta Garofalo and the new De Cecco High Protein Arena, directed by Davide Campagna, creator and founder of “Cotto al Dente”, will be making their debut at RiminiWellness. The programme will culminate with Tribù Reunion, an event for the fitness community which will involve Evolution Burn System, STRONG Nation®, Tiziana Fitness Style, Anthony Pazzaglini and Maximilian Arcidiaco in sessions and shared experiences between training, energy and nutrition. Barilla will also be back with Protein Plus and new activities devised for the public, while the Amadori Group, official Food Partner of RiminiWellness 2026, will enliven Hall B5 with four days of tastings, games, gadgets, meet & greets and focuses on its range of protein foods for athletes and wellness lovers. The Amadori - The Italian Protein Group” will welcome visitors in a 64m2 island area inspired by the claim “Proteine buone per tuttƏ” (Good protein for everyone) and the four colours of the Group’s protein offer. The stand will be hosting 5 “Amadori Games”, a large, dynamic ledwall with immersive content and insights into the most recent communication projects, including “Amadori Protein Talk”, the vodcast that resulted from a partnership with Lega Basket Serie A.
.
WELLNESS BECOMES A POP AND PARTICIPATORY LANGUAGE
Foodwell also confirms how wellness is becoming an increasingly cultural, social and participatory phenomenon. Creators, ambassadors and communities will be the main characters of a story that combines food education, entertainment and conscious consumption. Guests will include Giuseppe Healthy, the 2FoodFitLovers, Mocho, Andrea Presti and the FunnyVeg community, who will bring live shows, cooking experiences and formats on the relationship between nutrition, energy and performance to the show. The growing attention towards plant-based and free-from products will also be featured in the thirteenth edition of the World Gluten Free Beer Awards, created by Alfonso Del Forno together with Unionbirrai, confirming how food inclusiveness and sensorial innovation are now an integral part of the contemporary wellness lifestyle.

WELLNESS DRIVES NEW CONSUMPTION BETWEEN FITNESS, TECHNOLOGY AND THE WELLNESS ECONOMY
· The global wellness economy amounts to 6.8 trillion dollars and aims to reach 9.8 trillion by 2029
· Italy is among the world's top 10 wellness economies with a market worth 140.6 billion dollars
· Physical inactivity is decreasing in Italy, going from 40% to 33% in 10 years
Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 – The wellness world is one of the main drivers of new consumption and lifestyle. An evolution that involves physical activity, prevention, health, tourism and technological innovation, contributing to the growth of an increasingly strategic sector, also from an economic and social point of view. In this context, RiminiWellness 2026, Italian Exhibition Group’s fitness, sport and wellness event, back for its twentieth edition from 28th to 31st May at Rimini Expo Centre and on the Riviera, confirms its status as a privileged observatory on the trends that are redefining the market and the development prospects of the entire supply chain.
ITALY AMONG THE WORLD’S TOP 10 WELLNESS ECONOMIES
Wellness is increasing its weight on a global economic level, confirming the sector’s importance in contemporary consumption evolution. According to the Global Wellness Institute, the global wellness economy has now exceeded 6.8 trillion dollars and could reach 9.8 trillion by 2029, growing at a faster rate than the global economy. Transversal sectors, from physical activity to nutrition, prevention, mental health, wellness tourism, preventive medicine and technologies applied to wellness, all contribute to this expansion. In this context, Italy is among the top ten wellness economies, ranking 10th globally and 4th in Europe with a market that has reached a value of 140.6 billion dollars. A result supported by the strength of supply chains historically linked to the Italian lifestyle, such as wellness tourism, spas, healthy eating, sport and hospitality, which contribute to boosting the country's positioning among the main international wellness destinations. In Italy, this evolution is also reflected in the growing popularity of sport practices and wellness activities. The Italian Fitness Federation declares that in 2025, the Italian fitness market had an estimated value of 3.1 billion euros, confirming the growing diffusion of physical activity and wellness services. Over 7,500 gyms and fitness centres operated throughout the country with more than 5 million members, while almost 18 million Italians used services related to fitness and wellness, even occasionally. A scenario that confirms how wellness is no longer just a consumption trend, but a strategic lever for economic development, innovation, territorial appeal and quality of life, encouraging the creation of increasingly integrated sport, wellness, tourism and sociality experiences.
IN ITALY, MORE SPORT AND LESS PHYSICAL INACTIVITY
The growing attention to health and quality of life can be seen in the diffusion of sports and physical activity within the country. The Ministry for Sport and Youth’s Sport 2025 Report highlights that two out of three Italians now practice sport or physical activity and 38 million Italians are involved in physical and sporting activities, confirming sport’s increasingly central role in contemporary lifestyles.
According to data from The European House – Ambrosetti’s Sport Value Observatory, the share of the population that is completely sedentary fell from 40% in 2015 to 33% in 2024 with around 4.7 million fewer inactive people in less than ten years. However, strong territorial and sociodemographic differences still persisted with higher levels of inactivity among women, the over 65s, residents in the South and people with a low level of education.
In an international comparison, according to the most recent OECD and WHO findings contained in Health at a Glance 2023, Italy ranked as the fourth most sedentary OECD country with 80.3% of the population not achieving the recommended levels of at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week, compared to an OECD average of 59.6%. The data were subject to a more restrictive definition of sedentary lifestyle, which considers the overall level of physical activity carried out not only during free time, but also at home and at work, according to WHO guidelines.
Sedentary lifestyle also has a significant impact on the national economic and healthcare system, generating costs estimated at around 6.7 billion euros per year between healthcare spending and loss of productivity. A framework that shows how promoting physical activity is not only a public health priority these days, but also a strategic lever for the social and economic sustainability of the country
FITNESS, TECHNOLOGY AND AI: HOW THE SPORT EXPERIENCE IS CHANGING
The fitness sector is undergoing a profound technological transformation that is redefining training methods and monitoring health and performance. Online platforms, wearable devices, on-demand training and connected equipment are accelerating the sector’s digitalisation. According to IMARC Group, connected gyms integrated with intelligent systems, digital services and personalised training are on the increase. The global connected fitness equipment market could reach $10.3 billion by 2033 with average annual growth exceeding 20%. According to Mordor Intelligence, wearables, AI coaching and hybrid training are transforming fitness centres into increasingly personalised and data-driven environments. The Italian market for wellness devices is also growing, driven by the popularity of tools for health monitoring, prevention and psychophysical well-being. A transformation that confirms an increasingly integrated fitness evolution, oriented not only towards performance but also towards preventive health and corporate wellness.
WELLNESS TOURISM IS RUNNING FASTER THAN TRADITIONAL TOURISM
Wellness evolution also involves tourism driven by the demand for experiences oriented towards wellness and personal care. According to Global Market Insights, the global wellness tourism market reached a value of 975 billion dollars in 2025 and, based on current projections, will exceed 2.1 trillion dollars by 2035, with an average annual growth of 8.2%.
Globally, the sector is driven by experiences related to health, regeneration and outdoor activities. Wellness resorts, retreats, spas and sports tourism are redefining the international tourist offer, creating new opportunities for territories and sector operators.
In this scenario, Italy is one of the most important markets in the tourist wellness economy. The sector directly linked to wellness tourism, spas and hot springs was worth almost 27 billion dollars in 2024, while the wellness tourism segment alone stood at 19.99 billion dollars, positioning itself among the national wellness economy’s five main sectors.

IEG, THE FOURTH EDITION OF RIMINIWELLNESSOFF, THE “OFF-SHOW” EVENT THAT PROMOTES WELLNESS IN THE TERRITORY
· From 28th to 31st May, in conjunction with RiminiWellness, the city and the Riviera will become a large movement and wellness area
· An extensive, free and open-to-all programme of events online
Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 – The fourth edition of RiminiWellnessOFF, the "off-show" event for the world of fitness and wellness, promoted by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and the Municipality of Rimini, was officially presented in the Council Boardroom.
The project, which is increasingly strategic for the wellness panorama, will accompany RiminiWellness (The Wellness Experience Show, at Rimini Expo Centre from 28th to 31st May) on its twentieth anniversary, with an extensive programme of physical activity, health and sports events for everyone, transforming the entire urban area and the Riviera into a large, lively and pulsating stage.
Once again, RiminiWellnessOFF will confirm its status, not only as a dynamic off-show event for the wellness world’s entire ecosystem, but also and above all, as an extraordinary opportunity to promote the local area and actively involve the citizens and community through the numerous initiatives that will take place outside the confines of the Expo Centre and embrace the whole city. From the historic centre to the Sea Park and the coast, each venue will play a key role in a collective experience under the banner of energy and sharing.
“Due to the value and variety of the proposals and the many areas it involves, RiminiWellnessOFF is establishing a reputation as a veritable outdoor extension of the trade show. A network of initiatives and events that spread the energy of RiminiWellness throughout the city in an extraordinary weekend that comes at the end of a May of great events, and which launches us into the summer season. The RiminiWellnessOFF schedule is an invitation to everyone, guests and residents, to move and to experience urban areas as places of wellness, designed to promote free time,” said Rimini mayor, Jamil Sadegholvaad, at the press conference hosted this morning in the Town Hall.
As Italian Exhibition Group CEO, Corrado Peraboni, explained, “RiminiWellnessOFF continues to broaden the scope of the trade show by actively involving the local community and the numerous visitors expected to arrive in the Rimini area. This year's packed calendar, thanks to the synergy between IEG and the Municipality of Rimini and the contribution of companies, associations and sports organisations, will take the exhibition’s contents to the entire city and the Riviera with a dynamic and inclusive offer. Having this extension of RiminiWellness around the territory not only offers the show’s visitors the chance to discover our city’s peculiarities, it also promotes acknowledging Rimini as an international city of sport, given the growing visibility that the event is also acquiring among the foreign public. This year our exhibition halls will already be seeing an increase - thanks also to the precious support of the Italian Trade Agency in promoting Italian companies and their internationalisation abroad - of over 250 buyers, and industry leaders who will be speaking in our arenas.”
“RiminiWellnessOFF is evolving naturally with our trade show,” said Valentina Fioramonti, IEG’s Wellness & Outdoor division manager. “And its “Go Through” slogan is an invitation for every participant to attend the Expo Centre and tour the city of Rimini to discover what the show and the territory can offer. Moreover, this year, the RiminiWellnessOFF experience will be focusing greatly on running which, as a discipline, will allow us to connect what happens at the show and what happens in the city, in the centre and at the Sea Park. Running is an evergreen trend that, in recent years, has become an inclusive and democratic moment of aggregation around which communities that combine movement, sociality and entertainment can grow. Ola Movement, Fluxo and Runi Running Club, Rimini area realities that collaborate all year round with RiminiWellness, will be staging many of their activities during the OFF.”
At the 20th anniversary edition of RiminiWellness, with its 30 halls (amounting to a total of 190,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space and 6 themed areas dedicated to fitness, wellness, sport and healthy eating), professionals from all over the world, leading companies and enthusiasts will meet up again to offer an updated and complete vision of trends in health, movement and quality of life.

RIMINIWELLNESS 2026 REVEALS THE TRENDS OF THE TWENTIETH EDITION
· At Rimini Expo Centre and on the Riviera from 28-31 May, the IEG event will feature updated fitness: intense formats between strength, technique and more accessible and engaging workouts
· Large communities and competitive events are growing with models based on participation, cohesion and shared performance
· The holistic approach affirms its scientific and integrated nature between work on the nervous system and new experiences of conscious well-being
Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 – A sector in total evolution that is able to combine performance, accessibility and awareness and where the fitness and holistic worlds are becoming increasingly integrated. The new entries at RiminiWellness 2026, scheduled to take place from 28th to 31st May at Rimini Expo Centre and on the Riviera, demonstrate this transformation. For its twentieth edition, the Italian Exhibition Group show will further expand its ecosystem of events, disciplines and formats, confirming its status as a privileged observatory on new trends in contemporary wellness.
FITNESS EVOLVES BETWEEN STRENGTH, TECHNIQUE AND CROSS-CONTAMINATION
Contemporary training becomes a complete, technical and engaging experience. One example is the debut of Barre Training Evolution, presented by FIF (Italian Fitness Federation), which reinterprets barre work by integrating Pilates, functional training and Reformer. A fluid system centred on control, posture and stability that can be adapted to different levels thus expanding the possibilities for sector professionals. BodyPump Heavy by Les Mills moves in the same direction and is one of the most eagerly anticipated launches of the edition. The format evolves towards more intense work with greater loads and a targeted focus on strength and hypertrophy while maintaining the energy and collective dimension that have made the programme iconic. The world of dance fitness will also be upgraded with Zumba + Lift, the new proposal by Beto Perez that alternates cardio sequences with weight work, creating a complete workout that combines fun and muscle building in a single rhythmic experience.
WALKING, RUNNING, TRAINING. DAILY MOVEMENT BECOMES METHOD
One of the most evident trends is the rediscovery of natural movement with a more technical and structured interpretation. Striding Walking Workout and Working Program transform walking into a complete workout, built on rhythm, coordination and muscle work. The simplest gesture thus becomes an effective tool for improving resistance, tone and posture, maintaining a sustainable impact. This search for low-impact effectiveness also extends to water with the debut of Water Cross. The protocol brings functional training to the pool and uses the natural resistance of water to intensify muscular and cardiovascular work while reducing stress on the joints.
FROM COMMUNITY TO PERFORMANCE. THE COLLECTIVE TRAINING PHENOMENON
RiminiWellness 2026 also strengthens its role as a point of reference for large fitness communities, which are ever more central to the sector’s evolution. The most significant innovations include the debut of GDMI 1978 (Dynamic Italian Military Gymnastics), which will be participating at the show for the first time with its own hall. With over 70,000 members and more than 600 active centres, it is now the sporting reality with the largest number of members in Italy and Europe, thanks to a method that focuses on free body training and adaptive and progressive athletic preparation. RiminiWellness will also continue to feature major events linked to functional training and CrossFit. Hyrox will be back for the fourth consecutive year with a 2026 edition that promises to be the most impressive: four days of competitions and thousands of athletes involved in an international format that tests endurance, strength and strategy. Italian Showdown confirms its role as a reference for the CrossFit® community. After the success of the tenth edition, which recorded a total sell out and international participation, this edition will see new competition methods, including division into pairs, which will add an even more collaborative and strategic dimension to the competition.
HOLISTIC WELLNESS BETWEEN SCIENCE, SYSTEM AND NEW BODY LANGUAGES
The holistic world and an increasingly systemic vision of the organism. Cranial Reset & Longevity Touch is a new neuro-connective protocol that acts on the skull to release deep myofascial tension and activate regenerative processes. Research on conscious movement is also being developed through new tools and methodologies such as Infinity Bands, a discipline that uses fabric resistance bands as sensory input for the nervous system, improving coordination, stability and gesture organisation. Symmetrical Gymnastics intervenes on body asymmetries through rhythmic sequences that involve both cerebral hemispheres, fostering a rebalancing between posture, movement and perception. Healing Hands offers an immersive experience dedicated to professional massage, where Eastern and Western techniques come together in a practical and participatory approach that focuses on contact, listening and treatment customisation.

· The Innovation Area at Italian Exhibition Group’s event will be extended to host 30 start-ups, affirming its role as a strategic hub for innovation and international technological research
· From Sport & Space Economy to active longevity: from 28-31 May at Rimini Expo Centre, cutting-edge solutions in artificial intelligence, wearables and functional nutrition
· Business strategies and training: from the panel discussion on Longevity to the debut of Reverse Pitching and new projects for schools.
Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 – The consolidation of the Innovation Area at RiminiWellness, the international event of reference for the wellness industry, organised by IEG -Italian Exhibition Group, marks a new milestone in technology and health integration. In 2026, the initiative will be reasserting its role as a prime observatory for identifying the sector’s most advanced trends, from preventive medicine to sports tourism. A dynamic ecosystem where 30 start-ups, scale-ups and university spin-offs will be presenting wearable devices, digital applications and AI services ready to revolutionise the nutrition, fitness and longevity sectors.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS AND BIOTECHNOLOGIES: EVOLUTIONS IN PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY
The Innovation Area will redefine the parameters of wellbeing through solutions that combine automation and bioengineering. Personal hygiene will evolve with Clean OS S.r.l.’s SmartBrush, designed for deep and thorough cleaning in just 30 seconds per arch, whilst the professional fitness sector will embrace the wireless technology of Austrian firm GO PRO ICON EMS GmbH, whose 26-electrode suit ensures full muscle activation in 20-minute sessions. Club optimisation will be achieved through FitButlr™ by GYM3000.com, the intelligent NFC towel that allows managers to monetise services by digitising users’ established habits. On the deep well-being front, Health Spectrum Laboratories will be presenting WAVE, a carbon-fibre chaise longue that uses Harmonic Frequencies to induce relaxation, whilst the semantic artificial intelligence developed by Myndoor s.r.l. monitors early signs of stress. Lastly, athlete safety will entrust in research by O-DAMP, a Bologna University spin-off that integrates non-Newtonian fluids into protective gear that can neutralise rotational accelerations, the main cause of head injuries.
FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION AND NEW DIGITAL MODELS
Nuhpro srl will be demonstrating the evolution of food as medicine with functional nutrition and longevity solutions designed to combat sarcopenia and support women’s health. In physical recovery, PureVital will be introducing the infrared ozone sauna and active oxygen for deep detoxification and energy boost, whilst SportID will digitise the relationship between athletes and facilities through its Digital Sports Identity (IDS), integrating technical and management data. Business model scalability in wellness tourism will be the focus of The Crowd, a crowdfunding and ticketing platform designed to co-design events and retreats by validating market demand in real time.
BUSINESS STRATEGIES AND PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING
The Fitness Innovation Arena will open on Thursday 28th May with an EPSI (European Platform for Sport Innovation) workshop entitled “Active Ecosystems: Aligning Investment and Innovation”, organised and moderated by Alberto Bichi, Executive Director of EPSI, with contributions from Kristina Jokelainen, founder of SmartNorth Ltd and expert in Smart Specialisation, Building Regional Ecosystems, Interregional Collaboration and EU Affairs, and Mike Yang, Founder and CEO of AquaBloom International Sports Technology Group. The technical-scientific programme, coordinated by Tecnopolo in Rimini, Bologna University and Clust-ER Health and Tourism, will include two workshops on Saturday 30th in the Fitness Innovation Arena: “Development Trends for Start-ups: Internationalisation and Funding Sources” with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Venture Capital, Istituto Credito Sportivo e Culturale and Sella Lab; and “The Incubator and Accelerator System: a comparison of models”, attended by various innovation incubators such as Cesena Lab, San Marino Innovation, Wylab, Trentino Sviluppo, Le village and ALMA CUBE. The day will culminate with Reverse Pitching, moderated by Cluster Health: a dynamic session in which investors, advisors and accelerator programmes will take to the stage to explain to start-ups what they are looking for in innovative wellbeing and digital health projects. Therefore, instead of the start-ups making their presentations, key players in the innovation ecosystem will be sharing priorities, evaluation criteria, emerging trends and the areas of greatest market interest. Invitalia, the National Development Agency, will be one of the Innovation area’s technical partners and will also sit on the judging panel to evaluate the selected start-ups’ pitches, awarding a prize in the form of services (guidance, support and matchmaking) to the top three. The Invitalia desk will also be available to provide information on the range of incentives and services the Agency offers to innovative start-ups and also host one-to-one meetings for start-up founders and aspiring entrepreneurs.
LONGEVITY AND RESEARCH: ECONOMIC AND SCIENTIFIC SCENARIOS
With a global value of €500 billion, longevity is emerging as an economic asset and will be the strategic focus of the “Longevity and Lifestyle: Science, Business and Investment” panel discussion. The meeting will address the sector’s evolution in Italy and Europe, combining the bio-scientific expertise of Lucia Magnani, CEO of Lucia Magnani Health Clinic, and Francesco Dalla Villa, Scientific Director at Isokinetic, with market trends analysed by Daniela Bianco, partner at Community Longevity+. Investment trends and M&A activities for wellness centre consolidation will be summarised in presentations by Marco Biffi, CEO of Business Fit Consulting, and Luca Amedeo Masobello, partner at Vam Investments, who will outline the sector’s new paths to profitability. The scientific programme will draw to an end on Sunday 31st May with the academic excellence of the Ilenia Scarantino Award, promoted by Gruppo Sicilia in collaboration with the Universities of Palermo and Catania: Sports Science students from the respective universities will present targeted research on Sicilian phytonutrients and their decisive impact on high-level sporting performance.

RIMINIWELLNESS STRENGTHENS ITS LEADERSHIP BETWEEN SPORT, SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION
· IEG’s international event, scheduled for 28-31 May at Rimini Expo Centre and the Riviera, extends its offer of scientific content for health and sports professionals
· The Health area will be bigger with a calendar of events that will include sports medicine, rehabilitation, training and nutrition
· The Beauty Area will be making its debut with events, experiences and in-depth discussions on cosmeceuticals, active skincare and sport
Rimini, 28-31 May 2026 – Sports medicine, advanced rehabilitation and nutraceuticals will be the focus of RiminiWellness 2026, the international fitness, sport, wellness and healthy eating event, organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG). Scheduled to take place from 28th to 31st May at Rimini Expo Centre and on the Riviera, the 20th edition will combine high-profile training, scientific innovation, and discussion between professionals, companies and communities, strengthening the event's international flair and its ability to anticipate developments in the sector.
SPORTS MEDICINE between TRAINING AND INNOVATION
The Health area will be a meeting point of excellence between sport and science. A unique opportunity to improve skills, discover the sector’s latest developments and meet a qualified audience of professionals through advanced training sessions and workshops aimed at physiotherapists, osteopaths and sports doctors. These will include the Project Invictus area and content from FisioScience, one of the most authoritative communities in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, which will feature Valerio Barbari in sessions offering specialist speeches and talks on the most relevant topics in modern rehabilitation. Sunday 31st May will see a conference on “Sport-Omics and Epigenetics in Performance: Training, Resilience, Recovery and Endurance” with Giorgio Terziani, visiting professor in wellness disciplines at the Saint George training school. In addition, thanks to Objective Performance, the Velocity Based Training Summit will be held on the same day. With Antonio Squillante in attendance, the training event will focus on the theoretical and practical exploration of one of the most advanced methods for monitoring and self-regulating training through execution speed analysis.
THE MOVEMENT & THERAPY SUMMIT WILL BE BACK
The new frontiers of rehabilitation and sports performance will be spotlighted with the Movement & Therapy Summit on Friday 29th May, an area for interdisciplinary dialogue between science and practical application, created with the aim of overcoming the fragmentation between the clinical and training fields. Conceived by Marco Rovatti, doctor of physiotherapy and qualified osteopath, registered with the ROI – Italian Osteopath Register, (FT, DO, SM, MSc), the summit will host Gray Cook for the first time in our country, founder of the FMS - Functional Movement Screen protocol and co-creator, together with Lee Burton, of the SFMA - Selective Functional Movement Assessment. The programme foresees an international conference entirely dedicated to the two systems - FMS and SFMA - tools for the screening and selective analysis of functional movements. The project was made possible thanks to collaboration with Daniele Barbieri (DC, MSc), representative and manager Functional Movement System Inc. in Italy, a company specialising in movement analysis training.
NUTRILAB, THE NEW NUTRACEUTICAL AREA
In the Nutraceutical Area, the new NutriLab will host a programme of talks designed to offer companies the chance to present their products to industry professionals and inform end consumers. Thanks to collaboration with the Scientific Committee of Bologna University, Urbino University and the Catholic University, professionals will have access to training on topics such as gastrointestinal health, cognitive decline and the cardiovascular system. These will include the conference entitled “Nutrition: where are we going”, scheduled for Friday 29th May and moderated by Giacomo Astrua of Noritura, on the topics of nutrition and longevity with Matteo Cerboneschi, Etta Finocchiaro, Paola Stavolone and Giacomo Fattori. This will be followed on Saturday 30th May by an international masterclass for sports professionals entitled “Performance in mixed and power sports: nutrition, supplementation and other dominant factors”, with speakers such as Julien Louis, Jorunn Sundgot Borgen, Gian Mario Migliaccio and Daniele Mozzone. Sunday 31st May will be the turn of “Nutrition and lifestyles” with Cristina Angeloni for a global perspective on supplementation in sport and the promotion of wellness-oriented habits with Erica Lombardi, Giorgia Saccone, Maria Eleonora Missere and Samuele Marcora from Unibo. This will be followed by “Lifestyles, Nutrition, Food Supplementation”, organised by Andrea Tarozzi and Ettore Novel.
THE NEW BEAUTY AREA
Nutraceuticals are broadening their horizons by opening up to cosmeceuticals and the beauty sector, strengthening the link between active lifestyles and skincare, which is now reflected in increasingly structured market offerings. This trend will be further consolidated at RiminiWellness thanks to the involvement of prestigious brands that recognise beauty as an essential element for those who practise sport. Hence the creation of the new Beauty Area, an area designed for consumers who consider self-care a natural extension of their lifestyle. The core of new entry will be the Beauty House, a lounge specifically for direct experiences and exclusive insights. The programme will include product launches, tests and talks on pre- and post-activity skincare — essential for the recovery of skin stressed by physical exercise — as well as advice on hair beauty, nail art and long-lasting make-up, as well as meet and greets with influencers and leading beauty editors. In this interdisciplinary hub, beauty will become dynamism and energy, offering concrete tools for those seeking a balance between holistic well-being and performance.
